Spring break baby....

Well, who knew that Spencer was going to get his first spring break vacation at 3? Or wait, did I get the spring break? We met Memaw and Pepaw in Portland last weekend where they scooped him up and took him to Everett for the week, so what were Paul, Sahalie, and I supposed to do without him? How about a trip to Cannon Beach.....

Strange mammal sighting at the Portland Zoo....

Ahhhh Mexico....

We have been home for almost a week and I can still taste the guacamole and chilaquiles. It was our first family vacation and as always, Mexico reminded me of why I love to be there....warm, fresh tortillas, crazy, lively streets, bright colors on anything and everything, taco stands, the sun setting over the Pacific, scratch margaritas, little barefoot kids chattering in Spanish, fiestas in the square on Saturday nights, palapas on the beach with Pacificos at ten in the morning, sand between my toes, flip flops as the shoe of choice, tank tops, sun kissed cheeks, and siestas just to name a few. Spencer and Sahalie gave it a whole new meaning especially when Spencer attracted every neighborhood child between the ages of 2 and 10 with his monster trucks....even if he was the only kid speaking English. Can't wait to get back....

It's Official!

My baby brother got married. It was a beautiful day and an even more beautiful celebration. The rain held off during the ceremony and the sky lit up a couple times with rainbows....that must be a good sign. Kristina was absolutely stunning and it was so fun to watch my brother go from nervous, to anxious, to completely content and happy. You certainly caught yourself a good one Corey. Congratulations you two!

I love Hawaiin time...

Sahalie and I did it up. We only had five days, but we sure had fun. Lots of swimming, the water park (yes Corey, that is me in the lead on the slide), cruisin the island, a little sailing, strollin' on the beach and a lot of QT with the Cartee's. I love you guys...thanks for a great trip.
