41 years strong....
Okay...it is not a recent picture, but it sure makes me smile. My role models and inspiration of what a marriage looks like...friendship, love, respect, and support just to name a few. Happy 41st Anniversary Mom and Dad! I love you.

Backyard bounty...
A couple of good eatins (morels) we found on our walk the other day near the house. It has been so fun exploring with Spencer and finding all sorts of wildflowers, mushrooms, and other creatures popping up in our own backyard.

While the cats are away, the mice will play....
Okay, maybe they didn't really get to play.
Buzz came down last week while my mom, Spencer and I were at the beach and the boys (Paul, Todd and Buzz) built the frame of our new wrap around (which my mom kept calling the reach around...) deck. As I write this, Paul is breaking out his new toy, a brand new chainsaw, to take down some dead trees on the property and mill them up for the actual decking. We should have a fully functional, usable deck by 2010.

A work conference took us to Newport, but we made sure to leave plenty of time for play too.
