Dry Canyon
Probably one of my favorite "secret places" close to town in the fall and winter. Petroglyphs, dry canyon bed with sand that looks like you could be in Mexico, big boulders, and crazy lichen (did you know that Fred fungus took a lichen to Alice algae?...a little bad environmental ed bad humor for ya.) And we just happened to time it the day after the Bulletin had an article in the paper. Not so secret, but still a good time.
